  • TMP36 is a low voltage temperature sensor. They provide a voltage output that is linearly proportional to the Celsius (centigrade) temperature. The low output impedance of the sensor and its linear output and precise calibration simplify interfacing to temperature control circuitry and ADCs. The supply current runs well below 50µA, providing very low self-heating—less than 0.1°C in still air. In addition, a shutdown function is provided to cut the supply current to less than 0.5µA. The sensor is functionally compatible with the LM35/LM45 and provides a 250mV output at 25°C. This temperature sensor is widely used in application such as environmental control systems, thermal protection, industrial process control, fire alarms, power system monitors, CPU thermal management etc.

    • Operating voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
    • Calibrated directly in °C
    • Accuracy at 25°C is ±3.0°C max
    • Linearity is ±0.5°C typ
    • Stable with large capacitive loads
    • Supply current is 50µA maximum at (VS = 2.7V to 5.5V, −40°C ≤ TA ≤ +125°C)
    • Output voltage range is 750mV at (TA = 25°C)
    • Operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C
    • Long-term stability is 0.4°C at (TA = 150°C for 1000 hours)
    • Packaging style is 3-pin plastic header-style package (TO-92)
